Did you know that the first kids camp in the province was founded in 1900. Since that time, Ontario and especially its northern hinterlands and regions have become home to many hundreds of camps where kids experience the outdoors, find new friendships and create memories to last a lifetime. Camps have been shown to develop unique leadership skills in children, fostering independence, confidence, altruism and a collection of other traits that will benefit them throughout their lives.

Overnight camps are scattered throughout regions like Muskoka, Haliburton, the Ottawa Valley and elsewhere (as well as Toronto and other major centers), while the majority of day camps in Ontario are found throughout its cities and towns. Kids from across North America and - in fact - from around the world, come to Ontario to experience the unique adventure and experience available only in one of this province's rich bounty of summer camps.
