    Hit the stage this summer! Whether you’re a novice performer or a theatre expert, have a blast creating and starring in a live Innovative mini musical. Campers will sing, dance, and act their way to a final performance for family and friends at the end of the week!     Aspiring actors and singers from Oakville and throughout the Peel Region find a place to spread their wings and stretch themselves at Innovative Arts’ musical and theatre arts camps. The company was founded by TV star Nathan McLeod, and training here is rooted in his fervent belief that the right training can bring out any aspiring actor’s potential to lead. Ambitious productions like Fame and The Sound of Music helped grow its reputation in the intervening years, and Bethanie Hughes and Samantha Holland have breathed new life into the company. It’s garnered a reputation for teachers’ skilled, enthusiastic coaching combined with a caring attitude for each child. Kids gain genuine acting experience in musical theatre or on-camera acting in a setting that’s renowned for excellence in quality and production values and acclaimed by parents.

    Director's Message

    Innovative Arts was born out of the need to find more effective and positive ways to inspire and educate youth in the performing arts. So many students leave musical theatre programs discouraged and frustrated, so we decided to reinvent the process, always keep it positive, and provide meaningful opportunities that allow our students to discover their fullest potential. Innovative Arts is by General Manager and Choreographer Bethanie Hughes and Artsitic Driector Samantha Holland. All three of us have backgrounds in musical theatre, extensive experience in youth programming, and a passion for helping young performers find confidence through exploration of the arts! Since the start of Innovative over 10 years ago, we have trained thousands of young people, and produced over 20 musical productions. It is our mission at Innovative Arts to ignite passion for and foster curiosity of the dramatic arts, while empowering students to build confidence through performance.

    More details about accommodations: We have 5 Studio Spaces including a Dance Studio and an Acting for Film Studio.

    Is Innovative Arts technology free? Students are recommended to keep phones in backpacks unless they are invited to use them for audio recording for melody and harmony lines!
