Children participate in a variety of summer camp activities that can include anything from canoeing to golf to horseback riding, but there are many specialty camps that focus on everything from technology to zoology. Kids from as far away as the Beaches and downtown Toronto can commute or bus to Ajax and Pickering in order to partake of unique camp activities and broaden their horizons during the summer months. These offer an important growth experience for any child. Durham region features a wide sample of the many kinds of kids' camps available, that include sports camps, arts camps, and educational camps.
Any parent who wants to explore a variety of options, should attend the annual Camp Expo held every spring in the downtown core. Many Durham region camps you see listed above are represented at the expo. It's a truly unique way to meet a variety of camps on your list and explore all your questions in depth with the people who work there. You'll leave well-armed to make the right decision at our Camp Expo.
Families unable to attend to the expo can learn all they need to know from information sessions held by camps or by using this site to fully research every Oshawa area camp listed above.
