How to find the best Woodbridge camps and programs for you

Woodbridge families are encouraged to attend the Toronto Camp Expo, where you can learn all about day camps and overnight camps from across the province. It’s a great way to get educated and learn more about camps, some of which will be in Vaughan. When you meet camps at the expo or contact them through Camps.ca, ask good questions, starting with these:

    1. How much focus is there on the activities my child enjoys?
    2. What’s the camp’s projected outcome or goal?
    3. What training do counsellors have in discipline, bullying, and safety (First Aid, etc.)?
    4. What’s the ratio of counsellor-to-campers, or how big are camp groupings?
    5. What experience do counsellors have?
    6. Is any financial aid available such as sibling discounts?
    7. Is before and after care available, and is the camp flexible to fit my schedule?

Those are a good place to start but are only half of the 14 great questions to ask camps that you can download from OurKids.net.
