Ontario Tech University offers kids aged 6 to 17, an opportunity to explore the world around them in educational, creative formats. Ranging from science to technology, engineering to coding, robotics and more, there is a camp option to meet the interests of every camper! Our camps are professionally developed and delivered. Counsellor ratios ensure interactivity and engagement.
Our mission is to inspire kids to see STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) everywhere in the world around them instead of just as subjects in school. Hands-on activities and curriculum-based learning in robotics, coding, gaming, and much more, provide an experience that is both educational and fun. We succeed when our campers leave camp thinking that STEM is exciting and within their reach – that it could be part of their future.
Choose the right programs and sessions for your child; Ontario Tech University Camps currently has 37 programs available.

What’s different about Ontario Tech University Camps is that they offer education-based programming. This doesn’t mean their camps aren’t fun—quite the contrary—the programming is very hands-on, engaging, and offers topics that kids are interested in. The goal of Ontario Tech University Camps is to make STEM accessible and let kids explore STEM in a way that they can use it in the world around them. Camps are staffed by certified teachers, university students, and teacher candidates to ensure leaders are knowledgeable with teaching experience behind them. Camper to staff ratios are low, so that they can work closely together and kids are supported for all activities. Kids make friends with like-minded interests that continue once the camp is over. Coding and gaming are popular programs at Ontario Tech University Camps, and in-person and virtual options are available. Kids who attend these camps often want to take their learning further in STEM and realize that it could be part of their future.

Hello Campers & Camper Families!
Ontario Tech University offers a variety of summer camp activities to engage campers in education-based programming, focused on and aligned with the Ontario primary and secondary curriculum. Our camps team aims to offer campers an inspirational camp experience, that combines academics with fun and creativity!
Whether your camper is attending an in-person or virtual camp program, they’ll be engaged in academics through hands-on, inquiry-based activities that inspire campers in a meaningful and fun way, as they build lifelong learning skills. With a variety of camp topics available, like STEM, coding, and gaming to name a few, Ontario Tech campers can explore topics relevant to their interests and to the world around them!
Ontario Tech camp programs are staffed by new and returning Ontario Tech community members, including teacher candidates in the Faculty of Education program, Engineering Outreach instructors, university students, and Ontario Certified Teachers (OCT). Camp sessions, both in-person and virtual, are designed to ensure campers have an interactive camp experience, with low camper to counsellor ratios, so that camp staff can work closely with individual groups, especially during programs offered for younger campers.
We look forward to our upcoming summer camp programming. Be sure to check our Camps (Children & Youth) website for the most up-to-date camp program listings - and to get to know us better! Whether it’s for an in-person or virtual camp program, we are excited to have your child(ren) join us!
Sincerely,
The Ontario Tech University Camps Team
Camps will be staffed by Ontario Certified Teachers (OCT), teacher candidates in the Faculty of Education program at Ontario Tech University, and university staff members. Camp sessions will have staff to camper ratios that ensure interactivity, active engagement, and safety. A high proportion of staff return each summer, ensuring experienced leadership. Junior counsellors and volunteers receive one week of leadership training. Additional training includes Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act training, WHMIS, and Workplace Violence and Harassment Prevention.
Is Ontario Tech University Camps technology free? All camps include the use of high tech equipment. Equipment is provided during in-person camps. Visit ontariotechu.ca/camps for camp-specific technology requirements and to review our camps policies.
Both of my children attended a coding camp and enjoyed it immensely. They both wanted to take the next coding course to learn more.
Our two campers made a few friends in Minecraft camp and wished to continue those friendships beyond the camp. I appreciated the fact that they were exposed to a higher-level learning institution and how to conduct themselves in such an environment.
Hi, I wanted to send an email to let you know what a great experience the "Now That's Cool" camp was yesterday for Bayley. She had a great time, and more importantly, the message of bringing young girls and technology together in a space that's fun and informative serves to showcase that girls are more than capable to enter into the sciences and into information technology. If you have any other day camps at UOIT that you would recommend for 11 year old girls, let me know. Thanks in advance
I wanted to share my impressions of the summer camp; 3 of my grandkids just completed their turn. All three loved it, enjoyed and will do it again. Please extend our thanks to the LEGO instructors and STEAM instructors. The kids were very happy. Thank you
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Brian, Samantha and Leanna for the great Minecraft Camp they ran last week. My son had lots of fun and learned many new tricks. In addition, Brian offered to use his USB to save our son's work until I could get to UOIT this week with one of our own. Today, I dropped off a USB to Brendon who heard my story and promised he would find Brian and get him working on transferring Jacob's Minecraft projects. Shortly afterwards I had a phone call from Brendon telling me the USB was ready for pick up. Your staff went out of their way to help in this situation. You trained them well! Jacob is very happy to have his hard work at home!. We will be back in August! (and probably next year too!)
