• Learning a Coding Language: Python 101 (Beginner) (2022)

  Both of my children attended a coding camp and enjoyed it immensely. They both wanted to take the next coding course to learn more.

• Adventures in Minecraft (2022)

  Our two campers made a few friends in Minecraft camp and wished to continue those friendships beyond the camp. I appreciated the fact that they were exposed to a higher-level learning institution and how to conduct themselves in such an environment. 

   

• Girls in STEAM camps

  Hi, I wanted to send an email to let you know what a great experience the "Now That's Cool" camp was yesterday for Bayley.  She had a great time, and more importantly, the message of bringing young girls and technology together in a space that's fun and informative serves to showcase that girls are more than capable to enter into the sciences and into information technology.  If you have any other day camps at UOIT that you would recommend for 11 year old girls, let me know. Thanks in advance

• Pleased grandparent

  I wanted to share my impressions of the summer camp; 3 of my grandkids just completed their turn. All three loved it, enjoyed and will do it again. Please extend our thanks to the LEGO instructors and STEAM instructors. The kids were very happy. Thank you

• Minecraft Support

  I would like to take this opportunity to thank Brian, Samantha and Leanna for the great Minecraft Camp they ran last week.  My son had lots of fun and learned many new tricks.  In addition, Brian offered to use his USB to save our son's work until I could get to UOIT this week with one of our own.  Today, I dropped off a USB to Brendon who heard my story and promised he would find Brian and get him working on transferring Jacob's Minecraft projects.  Shortly afterwards I had a phone call from Brendon telling me the USB was ready for pick up. Your staff went out of their way to help in this situation.  You trained them well! Jacob is very happy to have his hard work at home!. We will be back in August! (and probably next year too!)

   

• Stimulating Camp Experience
  I would like to give you feedback regarding Camp UOIT robotics. My son attended 2 weeks. He thoroughly enjoyed himself. He learned new things, it was stimulating, age-appropriate and there was a tangible outcome. The website showing his effort was a nice touch. As a parent I can tell you it was a relief to have him in an air conditioned building. The lunches were great and the staff were enthusiastic. We would consider it again next year.
• One Stop Camp Program
  Feedback on the camp is very positive. I have been asking Stephen every night how he is enjoying it and he is very positive. I think this is fantastic for a 13 year old male, to be this enthusiastic about the camp. As an aside, he is also really enjoying the meal plan. The selection has been very well done. I am someone who looks for a 'one stop shopping' solution for Summer camps for my boys. I need a camp which suits their individual interests, offers before and after hours care and has a meal plan. This is a complete package. I will definitely recommend the 'UOIT' camps - for me, it is a one stop solution.
• Professional Camp Program
  May I also say, that you have proven once again, your ability to facilitate the Lego Robotics Camp in professional and well organized manner. Our son has enjoyed this year's camp thoroughly!
• Girls Only Nature Camp - the Best
  Thank you for the wonderful Nature Camp experience. The counsellors, each and every one of them are simply terrific! We have nothing but words of praise for them from our daughter and through our own interactions. Thank you for putting together such a lovely event for the kids.
• A Great Expereince Finally!
  I wanted to say thanks to you and your associates for helping to give our son a positive camp experience (finally!). This is the first time he has really enjoyed a camp experience and we have tried several! He even said he would like to go again next year and from him, that’s definitely a positive.
• Robotics Camp Excitement
  My son attended the robotics camp last week and I wanted to share some of the feedback he had with you. First off, he loved the camp, the counselors and the technology that he was able to use was incredible. He really enjoyed himself and was so excited to tell us all about all of the different programs, sensors and equipment that he was able to use. What I really wanted to share and the part that I was so pleased to hear was how he felt about some of the other kids that he met. On our way home on Fri as he was telling me all about his week (he had stayed with his grandma in Oshawa for the week, so it was the first time I had seen him). Some of his comments that made me want to email you were things like “ it was so amazing to find people that I could really connect with and relate too!” he talked about how the kids would have really intellectual conversations about math etc, and how one day a couple of the kids brought up situations about how they had been treated at school for being “different” and how this sparked a huge discussion amongst the kids on how others had been treated. Our son has attended many camps that he has loved but this one was definitely at the top. I am so pleased that a group of boys with similar interests that weren’t so “sports” oriented were able to come together and have such a wonderful experience. Our son comes from a family where sometimes our other kids who are very sports oriented can keep us very busy and we were thrilled that he enjoyed this camp so much! Many thanks to you and the counselors, we look forward to hopefully coming back next year.
