  • Overview

Here's what makes Art Gallery of Ontario Art Camps stand out

AGO Art Camp is an exciting blend of dynamic artmaking and a fun-filled day camp. Our all-day art programs let campers ages 5 to 13 express and explore their creativity in a fully-equipped studio environment. Guided by a team of experienced Art Instructors, campers enjoy making innovative art projects while developing their artistic skills. Our exceptional Counsellors help campers to build new friendships and gain confidence while discovering new ways of expression. There’s also plenty of outdoor playtime in nearby Grange Park. Our two-week Leaders-in-Training (LIT) program for ages 14-15 is a unique opportunity to learn personal and professional skills supported by the extraordinary art and resources of the AGO.

  • Reviews & Insider Perspectives

The Our Kids review of Art Gallery of Ontario Art Camps

    our take

The AGO is known for innovation, something that is symbolized in the redesign of the building by Frank Gehry, completed in 2008. The camps are about art, but they extend that in all kinds of interesting ways, exploring where art intersects with culture, science, and life. As such, the sessions don’t focus on media, but concepts. An Aviation session, for example, looks at flight using paper airplanes, the experimentation of Da Vinci as noted in his codices, and drawing birds in flight. One session looked at created habitat for urban wildlife. And on it goes. New themes are offered each summer, though all are as inspired as they are inspiring. The AGO camps are one of a kind, and have rightly grown a strong reputation and devoted following.
