What sets the Conservatory of Dance and Music (CDM) apart from other dance schools is the level of experience behind the owner and all of the teachers. Instructors challenge kids while also being fun and supportive and great role models. Many have been around for a long time, and have dedicated their lives to teaching dance, a testament to what this dance school brings to its community. The goal at CDM is to give kids the dance skills they need to move into a career as artists and entertainers. With both recreational and competitive programs, anyone can dance at CDM. Friendships are easily made at CDM, as like-minded peers encourage and help each other grow. The facility is fairly large, with three dance studios, and beautiful sprung dance floors for safety and aesthetics. Parents are able to watch in real-time in the comfy lounge, rather than be curtained off from the action.

I cannot recommend CDM more highly
We have been incredibly happy with our experience at CDM. The teachers are dedicated, and have gotten my child interested in dance, and committed to practicing. Not only that, but their response to Covid-19 was fast and m... Show More
Not only a school but a home
CDM has been not only a school but a home where wonderful teacher-role models helped shape our daughter into an honour roll scholar and confident leader over 13 years; the close friendships made also became an extension of... Show More

"We just completed our second dance season at CDM. My daughter is looking forward to her second summer of attending dance camp and also continuing lessons throughout the summer.
CDM has been instrumental in her (and our family’s) life throughout the pandemic. Showing up to class each week has given her something to look forward to and work towards.
At CDM she has learned so much more than dance skills. Athleticism, dedication, hard work, commitment, perseverance, and confidence. She felt prepared for the recital and had no fear going on stage despite only being able to run the routine a few times in person. She was so proud of herself after the recital that the next day she performed her dance on Zoom for her classmates at school.
Our daughter plans to continue her dance career with CDM for many years to come."
"This is the second year My daughter takes Ballet class in CDM. She’s having wonderful time while dancing with all those same age girls. CDM has many professional dance teachers. They pass their skills along with their different styles and same passions to our little dancers. Every Tuesday while I’m waiting in the CDM hall way, having different age dancers walking by, I can feel the happiness of dancing. I also like the CDM summer camp. It gives a great opportunity to have fun and try different dances." Grace Yang
"My daughters (3 and 5) really enjoy their creative movement and ballet classes. The March Break camp was especially fun! The teachers are very warm, personable, and amazing at what they do. The technique taught here to the older grades looks first rate." Barbara Pal
