    ORC helped my daughter's confidence

My daughter absolutely loved the Ottawa Rowing Club summer camp. As a parent, I was impressed with the professionalism of the coaches, and the focus on safety. My daughter came home every day excited to share what they had learned and the fun she had. It's a great way for kids to develop new skills, build confidence, and enjoy the outdoors. I would highly recommend this camp to other parents ... Show More

    So much fun!

This camp was SO awesome! I'd never been in a rowing boat before, and the coaches were super patient and taught us everything. We learned how to row, but we also got to do other fun stuff like play games on the water and learn about boat safety. I made a bunch of new friends, and I because of camp, I joined the junior rowing program in the fall ... Show More

    ORC camp

I've been to a few different summer camps, but the ORC camp is definitely my favourite. I knew nothing about rowing except what I saw on TV during the Olympics and this was a great way to try it out. There was lots of new info but our counsellors made it fun. I learned so much about rowing this week and even got to try sculling! ... Show More

    Staff and Counsellors

Our staff stands out for their experience, passion, and dedication to creating a supportive environment where every rower is encouraged to grow. Summer camp staff must complete the "Every Coach Certified" program through Rowing Canada to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively support our rowers. Additionally, they must be certified in First Aid and CPR, and the majority are athletes themselves, which gives them a deeper passion and understanding of the sport. Campers often find our staff's genuine enthusiasm, attention, and support the most memorable. Whether it's the coaches' ability to push them to improve or their constant encouragement. There is a 4:1 staff-to- camper ratio ensure safety around the water.
