  • Reviews & Insider Perspectives

The Our Kids review of Camp Kwasind

    our take

For more than 75 years Kwasind has attracted campers from across denominations and faith backgrounds. They are drawn by the values that are expressed here, as well as the size and culture of the camp. Kwasind is a place where every camper is known and feels a part of the community while he or she is at camp. The lakefront is  focus, and rightly so. Cabins and infrastructure are up to date in all the important ways. The activities are those associated with a traditional camp experience, including leadership training. There are also opportunities for campers to explore their faith with peers and mentors, perhaps particularly within the 2-week LEAP sessions.

Great camp on all fronts - Must attend

My daughter arrived at camp not quite knowing what to expect, and joining a program she had not previously done. Her cabin leaders helped her settle in quickly. The staff were very organized and welcoming (they cheer you on as you enter the premises). They did a variety of fun indoor and outdoor activities with new friends for a whole week. There were a lot of activities that helped build up my daughter's confidence. Most importantly, she learned more about God. She's excited to do it again next year ... Show More

Great Price. Great Staff. Great Memories

Top end camp with the most gracious and caring staff. Multiple years they have done so much for our children which allowed them the privilege of being a part of the KWASIND family. As well so much to do at this camp it’s endless! They have kept their prices extremely fair especially in comparison to many other very expensive camps. So greatful and I highly recommend camp KWASIND ... Show More

Kwasind makes camp a blast for kids & youth

We sent 2 of our kids to camps this year. Our oldest went in 2019 and due to covid in 2020 and 2021 he wasn't able to go. This was his last year of camp and he had a blast. Our 11 year old went for the first time this year and had such an awesome time. Thank you to everyone who makes this camp fun for everyone. It's so inclusive and an experience they will treasure forever. Thank you everyone ... Show More

My kids first camp experience was here and they all loved it. When I dropped my teen off he said ‘even if I have a really good week, I’m not doing this again next year’. When I picked him up he said ‘I had the best week of my life; and I’m definitely doing it next year’ ... Show More
