Camp Cherith Lanark is a co-ed, skills-based, interdenominational Christian camp committed to helping campers and their families discover Christ within the context of His creation. We partner with local churches to promote biblical understanding/application and to developing leaders for camp and for life.
Camp Cherith is a small interdenominational para-church ministry on the Clyde River in the beautiful, secluded Lanark Highlands. We acknowledge the various distinctives and traditions of our partner churches, staff, volunteers, and camper families. Our common focus is on presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Campers discover Christ in the context of His creation, develop skills, and grow in self-confidence. We invest heavily in equipping and developing strong leaders both for camp and for life.

On the banks of the Clyde River, Camp Cherith Lanark is a co-ed Christ-centred camp. What’s unique about this camp is that it puts Jesus Christ at the forefront while teaching campers to love and take care of one another. This camp is all about inner growth and trusting in God to help nurture healthy relationships and a positive self image. It is also a skills-based camp, with too many activities to mention, but among the most popular are archery, photography, music, and kayaking. There is a huge emphasis on leadership and developing future leaders, so campers do come back as counselors for younger campers. The entire staff is of different generations, starting from volunteers at age 16. Kids are changed by their experiences at Camp Cherith Lanark. The beauty of the property is a large part of the appeal, where kids can feel at peace. As a new camp, Camp Cherith Lanark is still developing its program and traditions, but it has already done this in a special way.

My 14 year old daughter attended Camp this year and was extremely pleased with her experience. She enjoyed it and learned so much about herself and what she can do in a supportive, safe, faith filled environment!
Best Summer Ever
My son loved his experience at Camp Cherith! So much that when we picked him up, the first words out of his mouth were not hello, they were: "Can I come back next year?"
Amazing Opportunity
My children were so blessed to have the opportunity to attend this amazing camp! They had a fantastic experience.
At Camp Cherith Lanark you can expect a warm welcome, some awesome memories made and friends that will last a life time! Campfires, great food, learning new skills and further developing old ones. Amidst the beauty of Gods Creation you will be encouraged to consider, reflect and discuss your spiritual journey. Did I mention Kayaking and Archery?!

Our multi-generational staff is a combination of volunteers, year-round workers, and young people 16+. We seek to build a team that includes a solid core of repeat staff from a variety of cultural backgrounds, experiences, and Christian affiliations. A week is set aside at the beginning of summer for staff training in our program and philosophy, to get to know one another and build our team. Staff learn how to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of campers, build healthy relationships, and help campers discover Christ in the context of His creation.
