There are cricket camps and clubs across Canada. This includes camps in Toronto, Mississauga, Ottawa, Etobicoke, Guelph, Orangeville, Victoria, Calgary, and Edmonton. These camps can be a great option for your child.
Most cricket camps take place in the summer. There are, though, some indoor, winter cricket camps and clubs. Cricket lessons are also offered as an after school activity, and during March and winter break.
Some cricket camps are intended for beginners, while others are offered for more advanced player. And while most cricket camps specialize in this sport, others offer other sports or activities as well, such as rugby, baseball, music, or arts and crafts.
In a cricket camp, your child will learn the rules and finer points of cricket. They’ll receive training from an expert cricket coach. And they’ll practice and refine a number of skills. These include:
They’ll receive feedback as they work on these skills through workouts and drills. They’ll also take part in cricket matches with other kids of a similar level. If your child is younger and less experienced, these will likely be short, friendly matches. If they’re older and more advanced, these matches may be longer and more competitive.
Either way your child is sure to have great fun. They’ll get to meet new people, make friends, and improve their fitness and skill level.
Above, find a cricket camp near you. Click on a camp to learn all about it, including its location, cost, programs, session dates, and more.
