Wildflower Community Farm offers outdoor learning camps and programs, and horse riding lessons for ages 5+. Learn, grow, and play on our farm just 25 minutes from Calgary, Cochrane, and Airdrie. Our programs are designed for all those neurodiverse and/or queer folks who find they do not fit in either traditional sports/education programs or special needs programs.
How our programs differ: Our programs are designed to develop life skills in children through nature play, animal interactions, and social environments. Because of our interdisciplinary approach, we can help neurodiverse, disabled, and queer kids thrive by providing a community built for them and by building skills for the world beyond. How our business differs: We are building a community, not just offering services. Members of our community support each other on and off the farm, extending your support far beyond the programs we offer. How our values differ: We believe in sustainable impact over profit. This means we maximize value for our members while ensuring we aren't exploiting resources and staff.

What sounds better than a day spent making friends with animals, frolicking in a meadow, exploring in a forest, and making new friends? At Wildflower Community Farm, kids do just that, all while developing important life skills. What’s truly unique about this program is that all of the staff are made up of passionate, neurodiverse, queer, and disabled people. Wildflower Community Farm doesn’t believe in just offering services and are more interested in the greater good than making a profit. Being inclusive and supporting each other is first, along with environmental sustainability, health and wellness, and community. Their outdoor learning program is one of the best, with three levels designed to empower and educate kids for their future. Younger kids work on developing their curiosity and social emotional skills while playing and older kids develop leadership and future job skills. The program even offers references for job applicants. Kids will come away from the program feeling the love and wanting to give back to nature.
