Discovery Day Camp is a fun, exciting, and memorable day camp for children (4 years of age and older) made up of a diverse set of programming that provides campers with an opportunity to experience a multitude of activities including the creative arts, science, athletics and the great outdoors. New this year- Swimming Lessons! We can't wait to see you for Summer 2025!

Programs and Sessions Calendar

Discovery Day Camp is full of adventure, creativity, and fun! Designed for children ages 4 and up, campers explore creative arts, science, athletics, and the great outdoors. Juniors (ages 4-5) enjoy yoga, arts, sports, and more, while campers in Grades 1-7 take on exciting weekly adventures like Tree Top Trekking and canoeing. They’ll also dive into Stop Motion Animation, Musical Theatre, and more! New this year—every camper will receive swimming lessons and the chance to earn Lifesaving Society badges! Get ready for an unforgettable summer!

The Our Kids review of Discovery Day Camp

Summer is a time for exploration and adventure and summer camp should offer opportunities for both. At Discovery Day Camp, the opportunities to try something new are never-ending. Programming runs the gamut from art and science to robotics and coding to tree top trekking and outdoor survival. There is truly something to challenge every camper. Discovery Day Camp partners with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, which means that nature and the outdoors take priority. This is always a good thing in the middle of summer, when you want your child to get that ever-important fresh air. Camps run in or near conservation areas, with nearby indoor amenities. Discovery Day Camp prioritizes fostering independence in younger kids and leadership skills in older kids. Your child will come home with a sense of pride from all they’ve accomplished here, and discovering and learning—all in the great outdoors.

Director's Message

We’re pleased that you are interested in Discovery Day Camp as the place for your child’s summer adventures! We have put together an outstanding selection of programs as we await the approach of summer, anxious to see our beautiful property come alive again with the joy and energy your children bring each and every day they come to camp. We encourage you to read through the descriptions in this Web site, which will help you make the right choice for your camper! Discovery Day Camp focuses on programming such as the Art, Nature, Sports, and much more! Our unique program brings a bit of nature to the city with offsite activities such as Treetop Trekking and Canoeing.

We are thrilled to be bringing back our incredible swim program where campers will be working on earning their swimming badges from the Lifesaving Society's " Swim for Life" program!

Feel free to call our office with questions or just to chat about what Discovery Day Camp has to offer. We never tire of talking to current and prospective parents about our challenging programs, carefully selected staff and outstanding facilities!

Staff and Counsellors

Each staff member is hired directly from our Camp Director. All staff go through an interview, reference check and background check process. Each staff member is trained in First Aid and CPR. Prior to camp starting, the staff attend training sessions and workshops in order to create the best possible experiences for our campers! Our staff come from a wide range of educational backgrounds including teaching, Arts and Sciences,
