Junior and Youth Camps

The Junior and Youth Program operate eight, one-week sessions each during the summer months, offering different programming for each age group. 

Important information about Rates:

• Registrations for Session 2 and 7 will have a reduced rate of $640 to account for camp being closed during the designated holidays.
• We are pleased to offer a sibling discount to families enrolling multiple children in our camp. Families will receive a 5% discount on the camp fees for their second child and a 10% discount for their third child.

The Discovery Day Camp Junior Program, for children going into kindergarten, provides a gentle introduction to the camp experience, emphasizing creativity and socialization through arts and crafts, imaginative play, and age-appropriate outdoor activities. With a focus on nurturing young campers' curiosity and independence, it offers a safe and supportive environment for their early summer adventures.

The Discovery Day Camp Youth Program, for children going into Grades 1-7, offers a fun and enriching experience filled with a wide range of activities, including arts and crafts, science, outdoor games, sports, nature exploration and more! In addition, campers will go offsite once a week to Bruce’s Mill where they will experience Treetop Trekking's Tree Walk Village and to Lake St. George where they will learn the fundamentals of canoeing in the great outdoors.

Discovery Day Camp Swim Program

We are excited to offer swimming lessons to all our campers in partnership with the Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life program.

Our swim staff, consisting of certified instructors and lifeguards, ensure that campers not only develop essential swimming skills but remain safe in and around the water. In addition, responsible counselors from each camper’s group provide extra support and supervision, offering familiar faces and added safety in the pool area.

PLEASE NOTE:

The opportunity for campers to earn a swimming badge is available only to those enrolled in two or more weeks of our summer camp program. This allows ample time for campers to develop their swimming skills and meet the criteria for earning a badge. However, all campers (even those registered for one session) will still have the chance to work on their swimming skills and improve during their lessons, even if they don’t qualify for a badge.

• 8:15 - 8:35 AM - Camper is dropped off in the morning
• 8:40 - 9:25 AM - Yoga by Little Yogis Academy
• 9:30 - 10:15 AM - Arts and crafts activity
• 10:20 - 11:05 AM - Swimming Program
• 11:10 - 11:55 AM - Sports in the gym or out in the field
• 12:00 - 12:45 PM - Lunch / Recreational Activity Group 1
• 12:50 - 1:35 PM - Lunch / Recreational Activity Group 2
• 1:40 - 2:25 PM - Outdoor nature activity
• 2:30 - 3:15 PM - Musical Theatre
• 3:20 - 4:05 PM - Science activities
• 4:15 - 4:30 PM - Campers get picked up from Camp
