Course Description

Mechanics of Writing is a classic workshop that delivers advanced training in the fundamentals of English grammar and essay writing.

Taught by award-winning scholars with comedic wit and excellent teaching skills, this workshop will provide students with a grounding in formal English grammar and help them become proficient in the five-paragraph essay, including persuasive, comparative, cause-effect, and narrative essays.

Our students learn that effective written communication is critical to advancing one’s ideas and interests on a global scale.


Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Self-regulation: Conscientiousness, discipline, and self-control. The ability to regulate emotions and behaviour. Organization and executive functioning skills.
  • Independence: Ability and willingness to do things on one’s own. Self-initiative, self-motivation, self-care. Decisiveness.
