Winning Techniques is the perfect place to spend your summers! When I arrived I was welcomed by several well-trained staff and peers in the Leaders In Training Program. They took me for a tour, answering any/all of my questions, and set me up in the cabin I’d be staying! The next week I spent in the beautiful lake [swimming], practicing my skating and creating lifelong friendships and memories. In one week I passed three Skate Ontario tests with the guidance of the amazing coaches! I highly recommend the skating program to people at any level! The instruction on and off the ice was great! I got to attempt new activities such as archery and water sports! I enjoyed the competitions we had on Friday! At meal times there were always multiple healthy and delicious options! I can’t wait to return this year!
(5) Program quality and activities
There were a variety of activities to participate in every day! At skating there was always a new lesson planned! The games and group warm-ups were always fun and improved my skating skills! At camp, we had several in-water and on-land activities to try! There was always a counselor or leader by my side to guide me! Evening programs were a personal favourite part of the experience because we got to gather with the whole camp to play active games, watch movies and roast marshmallows!

The campers at Winning Techniques are some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met! I had the opportunity to bond with people from all over the world! The structured day makes it easy to connect with other campers! At evening programs everyone came together to hang out, get active, and get to know each other!

All the staff I met during my time at Winning Techniques were extremely respectful, compassionate and professional! My camp counsellors were people at camp I could always look up to for advice! My instructors at skating and at water sports made the rink and lake supportive places where I could grow!

Make the best of your time at camp because you’re gonna miss it the other 10 months of the year! Step outside of your comfort zone and don’t hesitate to try new activities! Winning Techniques Camp is the perfect place to try new things because of the awesome staff members!
