(5) Overall experience

My daughter participated in the summer day camp and she had an awesome experience. She learned a lot of crafts during her stay and was always looking forward to going back. We are excited and looking forward to coming again this year. She was also able to make friends with other kids her age. She had a great time overall. She improved her leadership skills and also promised to volunteer at the club when she is older. Thank you to the Organizers.

(5) Reason for choosing the camp

The proximity to our house made it a good decision and also, the values being taught to the children. Also, it was affordable compared to other camps, and there were no hidden costs. Drop off and pick up was really easy. The club also came highly recommended by other parents, which made it more attractive for us.

(5) Program quality and activities

The children were allowed to select their area of interest. My daughter really enjoyed the craft class and was also excited about the visit from the municipal police. There were also career talks and she was particularly fascinated about that. My daughter also enjoyed the tuck shop that you use paper money to pay for. She was always looking forward to earning some paper money.

(5) Social dynamics and experience

My daughter is shy most times when she is new in a place. For this program, she was very quick to make friends as the environment was very warm and welcoming. The children are well-mannered and it was indeed a bully-free zone, she made friends that she is still able to spend time with even months after the program ended.

(5) Skills and growth

They learn multiple skills like communication and conflict resolution, leadership and decision-making, team-building, empathy and active listening, problem-solving in group settings, creative arts, painting and drawing, acting and theater performance, storytelling and creative writing, and crafts like weaving, beading, or pottery. One challenge that she conquered was presenting on stage to everyone. She was able to overcome fear and present beautifully.

(5) Staff/Instructors/Counsellors

The management communicated with us daily. The children also got journals for each of the daily activities. Parents also received a daily newsletter that described the activities the children engaged with all day. Also, we were able to communicate with the staff to pass information to the children for early pickup.

(5) Advice and tips

Well, my advice will be that leadership begins with character. So be kind, honest, and respectful to everyone. Listen more than you speak, and always stand up for what's right, even when it's hard. Treat others as you'd like to be treated, and remember that true leaders inspire through their actions. Stay curious, work hard, and believe in yourself, you have the power to make a difference. Nothing l needed to know ahead, everything was timely.
