LEGO Robotics (Gr. 3-4) is an introductory course for students to develop their engineering, design, and programming skills. They will be using tools such as the LEGO Essential Kit and the LEGO Education SPIKE app to design, build and modify a variety of projects designed to solve real-life problems. Students will learn about electricity and energy transfer concepts, develop problem solving skills through iterative design, and drag-and-drop coding skills to power and control their projects. Students will explore the possibilities of engineering by expanding their knowledge of LEGO brick structures to include the use of motors, gears, and sensors! 

Lego Robotics is a 5-week program with the same lessons in each session, so students should only register for this program once.


Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Curiosity: Students will get to peak their curiosity by building LEGO robotics!
  • Creativity: Students will get to explore their creative potential using LEGO!
