Université de Montréal invites teens aged 14 to 17 to take part in an immersive campus experience! For 2 weeks, the Summer Immersion Program engages participants in the francophone university environment and its various fields of study! Thematic workshops, language, sports and cultural activities allow teens from around the world to enjoy summer in Montreal and experience UdeM together!
The Summer Immersion Program offers a one-of-a-kind experience for teens from all corners of the planet! Over 2 weeks, participants get a taste of student life on a vibrant francophone university campus as they explore exciting fields of study and engage in language, sports and cultural activities on and off campus. All of this takes place in the heart of Montreal, known for its dynamic summer atmosphere and unique charm.

Registration is open from November 15, 2024, to April 1, 2025! Place are limited, so apply online early (in English or French), for early-bird price. You’ll only need a few documents: 1- Your teen’s most recent transcript (with a teacher’s evaluation, if available); 2- If no evaluation is included, a letter of recommendation from a teacher or coach; 3- A short cover letter written by your teen explaining their interest in the Summer Immersion Program. No interview required! Once we receive your application, we’ll confirm your spot as quickly as possible. In April, participants select 2 academic profiles that will shape the themed workshops they attend during their stay. Questions? Email us! We usually reply within 1–2 business days.

Wonderful time!

Your teen’s safety and well-being are always our top priority! Our dedicated team is on-site 24/7 to supervise and support participants throughout their two-week adventure, both on and off campus. The team includes 2 coordinators and 9 facilitators, all graduate or undergraduate students at Université de Montréal, along with specialized students leading themed workshops. Fully fluent in English and French, our camp monitors are trained in first aid, campus security and fostering respect. With their expertise and deep knowledge of the campus and city, your teen will be in great hands!

With over 65 hectares of green space, the main campus is sustainable, equitable and inclusive. More details about accommodations: Participants are housed in single and double occupancy studios in student residences next to campus. Each floor features washrooms equipped with showers and toilets that are cleaned daily. A curfew ensures all teens are in their respective dorms at a reasonable hour. Note that rooms are assigned on an arbitrary basis.
Are meals provided? Yes. The majority of meals are included in the price of stay and are provided either by Université de Montréal’s Food Services or catering services. A few meals on outings and trips must be paid for by the participant. These will be indicated in the student schedule.
