(5) Overall experience

My son was very interested in Ninja Warrior, and we happened to see a sign for it at Steel Peak as we were driving by. Justin was very welcoming, and I signed my son up for a recreational class. After a few months, we noticed my son excelling in the sport, to which we decided to enter the competitive portion. Justin always encouraged him, and we noticed his confidence levels going up. The Ninja comp team has helped him not only with his confidence but also with anxiety. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The ninja program has helped my son grow as a person and make life-long friends with the same interests. My son will continue to train here because we’ve had such a great experience, and we consider everyone family as we’ve been coming for so long.

(5) Reason for choosing the camp

This was the closest Ninja Gym to our house, so we thought we would give it a chance. Couldn’t be happier that we did. Reasonable price, friendly. There are no hidden costs; everything is included. We even have a gym membership for the time he is registered at the camps/programs.

(5) Program quality and activities

We weren’t really sure how ninja would compare to the show American ninja warrior but quickly learned it’s very similar. It exceeded our expectations and are happy with the gym purchasing new obstacles to create challenges for the kids that have been there for years. They decided the ninjas into groups to adjust obstacles ti their skill set so everyone continues to grow.

(5) Social dynamics and experience

My son didn’t know anyone going into ninja. Now, we consider our team family. We do activities outside of ninja, such as spartan races and going to Wonderland. I couldn’t ask for a better group of people. There is no bullying; everyone gets along, and everyone at the gym encourages everyone to be their best as well as help each other.

(5) Skills and growth

My son has gained friendships, personal growth with his confidence and overcoming anxiety. He also has improved strength-wise, with the ability to do more obstacles. When my son first started competing, that pushed him out of his comfort zone, as well as the other ninjas looking up to him as his skills improved. He’s learned how to deal with his anxiety and is able to compete even when the pressure is on.

(5) Staff/Instructors/Counsellors

The staff at Steel Peak has been nothing but amazing. They are kind, friendly, and accommodating. The coaches are understanding and able to help and work with the kids. They all encourage the kids to do their best. They teach the kids that failing an obstacle doesn’t mean that they can’t do the obstacle. They work with the child to help them overcome their challenge.

(5) Advice and tips

If your child is interested in Ninja Warrior, I would highly recommend Steel Peak. They not only teach your children but are caring, kind, and like family. My son has never felt like he didn’t belong from the day he began recreation classes. It teaches your children to have goals, confidence, and strength and to grow as a person.
