A 10 hour program is designed to challenge kids thinking about the likelihood of personal flying machines in their future.

Each week will explore a theme based around flight, build and test our ideas and discuss our findings.

We will explore:

What current machines exist? How challenging is it to stay up? (Hover boards, Helium and Rocket Balloons)
What controls flight? Air pressure, wing position and streamlining
When there are no runways we will need to go UP! Helicopters and parachutes.
Perfecting Gliders - build and test.
What needs to be considered? Licenses , space and Air Traffic Control

Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

Tolerance: Part of the Critically Thinking Model is to consider where our ideas and opinions come from and work to understand that opinions of others. Active talking and listening are encouraged and supported.
Resilience: Not all of our experiments and models will go to plan. There are elements that may not work out the way we want but recognizing this and working toward a solution is all part of problem-solving. Together we will support and consider outcomes.
