Youth Week - Ecosource's EcoStart Camp

Ecosource’s EcoStart - Youth Week Day Camp engages youth ages 11 to 14 in fun environmental activities. Developed in response to parent requests for an environmental day camp dedicated to youth, this camp program expands on  Ecosource's day camp offerings. Camp activities support positive nature experiences and will empower youth to make small changes toward a great impact on the environment and in our communities. Youth campers will attend several field trips during the week and participate in activities at the Ecosource Community Climate Hub in central Mississauga, which features an outdoor classroom & garden, teaching kitchen, and dedicated youth space. This camp offers the opportunity to:

• Develop leadership skills and practice climate action through hands-on learning
• Harvest local food and cook with it in our Teaching Kitchen
• Explore naturalized areas and urban agriculture spaces by attending multiple field trips offered during the week
