This program’s emphasis is on the acquisition of paddling skills in canoeing, kayaking, and stand up paddle boarding. The focus will be on instruction to basic strokes, navigation, and boater safety. Every day will have a different boating activity and multiple canoeing periods throughout the week to build proficiency. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in a culminating day-trip from our beach on the Ottawa River. Campers will also have the opportunity to participate in other aspects of camp such as swimming, cooperative team building games, low ropes and shelter building. The staff to camper ratio for this program is 1:10.
