Chess: Puzzles, Endgames, Tournaments and Learning Strategies

For beginners to advanced players alike, in this “screen free” camp, chess-enthusiasts will learn about openings, endgames and variations using puzzles, custom-start, clocked-moves and tournaments. Have fun playing one of the oldest and most challenging games with your friends and peers.

This camp is brought to you as a collaboration between Brainiacs Adventures and VISST.

When and Where?

Monday August 25 - Friday August 29, 2025.

1:00-4:00pm.

Location: The Vancouver School for Science and Technology (VISST): 1490 West Broadway, Vancouver.

Who?

This camp is for students going into grades 4-8.

Brainiacs Educators come from various STEM backgrounds and have many years of experience with Elementary school aged kids. They are passionate about chess, board games and any other activity that can promote screen-free learning through play.
