  • Reviews & Insider Perspectives

The Our Kids review of Town of Oakville camps

    our take

The Oakville camps, in their breadth, depth, and wealth of resources, are unmatched in the region. They make the most of an extensive infrastructure, from performing arts centres, to arenas, to outdoor education centres. When kids arrive, they enter some of the key environments in the life of the city. From a parenting perspective, it’s a bit of a one-stop shop, with an extensive menu of options for building upon existing skills one week, to experiencing new things the next. Families are right to make the most of the camps, which are incomparably managed, expertly run, and staffed by passionate, experienced staff. From breadth, to environments, to engagement with mentors and peers, there’s truly nothing not to love.

    • Town of Oakville Summer Camp

The Town has hired energetic, understanding, playful, skilled staff who are able to connect with the campers and make every day a success.

    • Joshua's Creek Hockey Camp

My daughter attended the Hockey Skills at Joshua's Creek Arenas and this being her first year playing hockey found it extremely helpful in developing her skills....she didn't know how to stop and during the week, one of the instructors (Brady) took the time to teach her that skill.

She enjoyed herself and is looking forward to playing hockey this fall and also camp next year.

    • Summer Sizzlers Tyke Camp

I gave my child the option to stay home on the last day of camp, but she was eager to go to camp. The instructors encouraged her to participate. Also, it seems the instructors are working hard to help kids with socialization with other kids. My child had a very positive experience. My child blossomed this week into an independent, confident girl. Thank you.
