Lights, Camera, Action! In this intensive TFS Summer Academy, high school students will join instructors from Toronto Film School as they navigate the different stages of filmmaking together.

Students will be an essential part of the development process as the instructors lead them through the creative and logistical elements of production.

Collaborating in groups, students will have the chance to execute their ideas guided by experienced industry professionals.

This week-long filmmaking boot camp offers a taste of the hands-on learning delivered by the full-time Film Production Diploma Program at Toronto Film School.


Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Creativity: Interest and pleasure in exploring creative potential. Tendency to see novel solutions to problems.
  • Interpersonal skills: Ability to understand the emotions and behaviours of others, and to respond accordingly. Ability to compromise and listen. Communication skills. Leadership.
