My son and I have been taking private vocal, drums and ensemble classes at the Music Studio for the past 7 years. I had tried many different music schools and am a music teacher myself, so I feel that I am very particular about where we study music. The Music Studio is by far the best music school in Etobicoke and probably anywhere. The teachers are very well-qualified and of high caliber. The owner, Ed, goes out of his way to provide many performance opportunities for the students as well as a warm, welcoming atmosphere at the studio. He is also very actively involved in the local community which is very nice to see and be a part of. The Music Studio’s teachers, lessons and various programs are fantastic! They keep all of our children - 3 kids ranging from elementary to high school - engaged in Music education. They all enjoy and look forward to their lessons. The Music Studio’s approach to teaching music comes first from enjoyment and then if you child wants to become serious that is supported as well. Our son decided about 18 months ago to take up the Trumpet and 6 months into that experience we discovered (via a strong recommendation from another music teacher) we engage with the services of the Music Studio. Our children have been attending classes at the Music Studio for about four years now - our son is taking piano lessons with Ed and our daughter is taking piano and vocal lessons with Brenna. The instructors are passionate, very knowledgeable, extremely patient and work very hard to bring out the best from their students. The children are always looking forward to attending the lessons. My 13- year old son has been learning drums, vocals and rock band at The Music Studio since 2018. When we moved to Mississauga, my son was a Grade 5(Rockschool) drummer. We tried almost all music schools in Mississauga and my son would come out dissatisfied with the teaching and teacher. Then we tried The Music School, which was far from our place. What tipped the scale in favor of The Music Studio was their expertise, variety and professionalism. Though no music school in GTA teaches the Rockschool program, Ed accepted the challenge and guided my son through to excel at the program. He is now preparing for Grade 6 Rockschool examination under Ed's guidance. The vocal's teacher and rock band teacher are equally proficient at their craft and understand the needs of the students to personalize the learning. We began piano lessons for my two children at the beginning of 2020, and they thoroughly enjoyed them right from the start. When Covid hit, the studio immediately began easy and convenient online lessons, which provided my children with some routine and structure amongst all the disruption and uncertainty. They continue to enjoy their weekly lessons and have learned a lot in only a short amount of time. They also really enjoy the monthly virtual performances, which have been wonderful for them to perform without feeling any pressure, and also a way for them to socialize with other budding musicians. Piano, Vocal & Ukulele Lessons

We moved our daughter to The Music Studio for piano and vocal lessons in March. Ed was very accommodating in finding teachers who could work with our availability even though it was part way through the winter/spring session. Despite most of her lessons being online due to the pandemic lockdown, she has progressed leaps and bounds in both vocal and piano. Her teachers, Ali and Olenka, have made lessons fun and inspiring and we’ve watched our daughter’s enthusiasm for music grow over these past months. From an early age, Nicholas showed a keen interest in music, and my husband and I participated in a number of song circles before discovering the Music Studio in September 2015. We couldn't be happier with our decision to enrol Nicholas in a group class! From the very beginning, we were met with enthusiasm, and were impressed by the community that Ed has built around a mutual love for music. Nicholas has gone on to take private lessons (vocal and piano), and the encouragement he's received from his teachers, and the progress he's made as a result of their dedication is truly amazing and appreciated. I still can't believe he "walked up on the big stage" (Nicholas' words) at the tender age of four, pink ukulele in hand, for his first recital and actually sang! This is an excellent music school, which we have been attending for several years. The quality of instructors is very high and for children, it is an ideal school to start learning music.
