If you have a love of design, are considering a career in architecture, or working on your college applications and portfolio? The Summer Springboard architecture course for high school students introduces architectural ideas, design principles, and methods of exploring problems of the built environment in a collaborative studio setting. While working on a design project you will learn about the academic path to an architectural degree and what it's like to be an architect on a daily basis.
Join high school students from across North American (and the world!) at one of eight prestigious university campuses in the United States and England, where you'll engage in coursework designed to give you a leg up in the field and help you decide if this is the educational path for you. Learn from experienced and accomplished instructors (psychologists, innovators, authors, university professors, and other academics) and pick the brains of guest speakers in a range of roles.
On the weekend and in the evenings, typical camp fun will ensue: take field trips to local attractions (Six Flags, the beach, the Statue of Liberty, for example), hang out in the quad with your classmates, or showcase your special skills in the talent show.
In 2024, this course will be held on the campus of:
