The Our Kids review of Deer Creek’s Practice & Performance Centre

With over 25 years helping people play golf better, Salem Ridge Golf is part of the Deer Creek family. The program is administered by PGA professionals, so it’s easy to see why the program is one of the top-rated golf instruction programs around. Kids can start learning golf as soon as they feel ready, and their talented instructors can assess that right on the spot. A test of patience, discipline, and burgeoning confidence is where golf starts. Instructors will work on swing, putting, and choosing the right clubs, while kids work on having fun while gaining valuable golf skills. Salem Ridge operates with the belief that golf is a sport that gives people life-long skills they can use on and off of the fairway. Junior golfers can choose between an immersive longer program, or a 9-hole event that gives them perspective from the hole out. Junior programs vary widely from adult programs, as they believe that kids learn quite differently from adults.

Director's Message

Dear Fellow Golfers,

The 2024 golf season is our 26th year of being in the business of helping people play more and better golf. Throughout our history we have earned, and, been awarded, some of the highest honours in the province of Ontario, by winning both Best Teaching and Best Practice Facility numerous times. The expertise and services provided by our fabulous PGA of Canada Professional staff has helped Salem Ridge Golf & Academy become the premier place to learn, practice, and play the great game of golf.

All of our Junior Program’s have grown substantially and achieved critical praise and success from the juniors and parents participating in the programs, as well as, the PGA of Canada Golf Professionals administering the programs. The Junior Camp program is our biggest and best program, and, many of the juniors who complete the program choose to add additional training and coaching so they can continue to advance and learn new skills, with some adding competitive golf to their own personal athletic development. Perhaps the best aspect of our Junior Camp program is that the full day provides enough time and structure for world class training and coaching, as well as, the opportunity to play our 9-hole executive course everyday of the camp.

During the 2024 golf season we will continue to offer the best golf camp program in the GTA, while also providing all our juniors the tools and skills they need to succeed in golf, as well as, the social skills required for success in everyday life.
