For 2024, we're expanding our Juniors programming to two extra weeks in August!

We’re gearing up for a fantastic summer full of all the arts. SummerArts Camp at Ross Creek is dedicated to fully engaging your child and giving them amazing new skills. Far more than an ordinary camp, Ross Creek gives your child all the advantages of an amazing art program with the rec and atmosphere of a camp all on an incredible site overlooking the Bay of Fundy.

At Ross Creek, we provide an amazing art week taught by professional artists and a great camp experience for kids on our 178 acres of field and forest, led by our fabulous counsellors. Whether searching for the Creekster, creating a masterpiece or making new friends, our camps have something for every kid! We offer programs in dance, theatre, music and art. Our youngest campers explore the theme of the week through a variety of arts, outdoor adventures, and skill development. Play and creative exploration are the hallmarks of our junior program, setting them up for a lifetime of magic and wonder.

SummerArts day camps are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm; Campers ages 7+ can add Thursday overnight as an option. Limited bussing is available on a first come basis.

July 08-12
Where the Wild Things Are
Inspired by the amazing book Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak, this camp will have kids creating their own wild things, with stories and art about them, and then they’ll create their own wild Rumpus!

July 15-19
Fables & Fairy Tales
We’ll explore positive fairy tales in this camp all about imagination and the coolest castles, dastardly dragons, and rad royals! Exploring stories from around the world, we’ll make our own fairy tales and pageants!

July 22-26
Up! Up! And Away!
We’ll look to the skies for this art and nature camp all about the creatures that swoop and swirl in the wind! From birds to bats to the mighty winds, we’ll explore and make stories about the winds, and even send up our own kites!

July 29 – August 02
Forest Friends
This awesome week will see us exploring our own Wabanaki forest in the summer, using art, music, play and more  to discover who lives around us, fairy tales from other forests about the woods and make up our own illustrated books about the Forest.

August 19-23
Under the Big Top
It’s the greatest show on Earth! We’ll look at the big tents and the best bits  of the circus and learn how to make our own circus performance through costumes and characters, with leaping and laughter and maybe some musical mayhem!

August 26-30
It’s a Bug’s Life!
Our world is full of the coolest creatures from the tiniest ant to the giant dragonflies that skim our ponds. We’ll explore the world of bugs through art, stories, and performance,  and sleuthing ourselves in our outdoor classrooms!

Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Creativity: Ross Creek Campers will have ample opportunities to explore different art forms while collaborating with artists from down the road and around the world. Creativity is a key trait to learning to be an open, independent, and kind individual!
  • Independence: Campers will have chances to pursue creative tasks in groups and on their own and will build a sense of confidence and independence as they grow through art.
