March Break Day Camps (Ages 8-11)

We are looking forward to a  fabulous week at Ross Creek’s March Break Arts Camp for children and teens. There is something great for everyone aged 5-18 thanks to the great volunteers, artist faculty, staff, chef and of course kids and their families!  

At Ross Creek we provide an amazing art day taught by professional artists and a great camp experience for kids on our 178 acres of field and forest, led by our fabulous counsellors. Whether searching for the Creekster, creating a masterpiece or making new friends, our camps have something for every kid! We offer programs in dance, theatre, music and art. Kids can come for a day or for the whole week of adventure and art. 

Monday March 10
Act It!
An awesome day full of improv, theatre games, scenes and crazy characters!

Sculpt It!
Make a one-of-a-kind sculpture in the studio, and learn to use a new set of creative tools! With both provided and found materials, You’ll explore how to see the world of art in the third dimension and make your creations pop off the page!

Tuesday March 11
Ancient Architects
From palaces to pyramids, we’ll explore the amazing architecture of the ancients from around the world! We will look at the materials and meaning behind structures and and even design our own!

Magizoology
From Centaurs to Sea Monsters, we’ll explore the crazy creatures of stories and legend and even make our own in art, story and performance!

Wednesday March 12
Forest Adventures
We’ll explore the forests of the world and the stories about them – starting with our own Wabanaki forest at Ross Creek! After looking for signs of the creatures that dwell in the woods, we’ll create our own stories and art about the wild forest.

Ancient Egypt 
Travel back in time to explore the art and architecture of Ancient Egypt. Inspired by stories from and about the ancient Egyptians, we will explore and make hieroglyphics, towering pyramids, and mummies in this awesome camp!

Thursday March 13
World of Fashion
In this one day exploration of textiles, fabric, and colour, You’ll learn about sustainable creative design and gain great new skills, all working toward your own creation to take home!

It’s Alive! Animations!
Bring your drawings and creations to life with an introduction to animation from Anime to Zoetrope techniques in this one day exploration of REALLY old school animation!

Friday March 14
Comic Creations
We’ll explore the art of the Graphic Novel, comics, manga, zines, and more and develop our own panel and characters!

Bejewelled
Using special tools, we’ll make our own masterpieces in metal in this one day class!
