Connections: Queen's Summer Engineering Academy Junior

Connections Engineering Outreach and the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science are offering these junior and intermediate sessions of QSEA to inspire and engage the next generation of scientists and engineers. 

This program presents students with an overview of engineering using age-appropriate, and thought-provoking projects to inform and engage students without being technically overwhelming. Participants will participate in activities that promote collaboration, leadership, communication, creativity, and critical thinking.

STEM Sprouts (for grades 2-3): Immerse your young scientists and engineers in a world of exploration, discovery, and hands-on learning. Our camp fosters a love for all things science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) through interactive activities, captivating experiments, and collaborative projects. From unraveling the mysteries of nature to constructing simple machines, STEM Sprouts empowers participants to cultivate their curiosity and critical thinking skills in a supportive and fun-filled environment. Join us where the seeds of scientific curiosity sprout into a lifelong passion for STEM! Our instructors have developed an A, B, C, and D course for STEM Sprouts so your camper can enjoy up to 4 weeks of camp without repeating activities!

EngGears (for grades 4-6): Come and explore the expansive world of science and engineering! Through interactive and engaging workshops campers will implement the engineering design process to plan, create, and test structures, vehicles, robots, and much more! We create a supportive learning environment where young minds can thrive, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to tackle real-world problems. Join us to unlock your engineering potential and ignite a passion for all things STEM! Our instructors have developed an A, B, C, and D course for our EngGears so your camper can enjoy up to 4 weeks of camp without repeating activities!
