From mighty grizzly bears to graceful orcas, campers will dive into the fascinating lives of local wildlife through storytelling, creative crafts, nature-based games, and science activities. By the end of the week, your child will have a newfound appreciation for the creatures that call the West Coast home!

What to Expect:

Each day focuses on a different West Coast animal with fun, interactive activities:

• Grizzly Bears: Learn all about these powerful creatures through stories, songs, and art. Campers will create bear drawings, label their body parts, and craft a “Bear’s Lunch” plate filled with the foods bears love to eat!
• Bats: Discover the only flying mammals in the world! Kids will learn about echolocation through fun outdoor games, make their own bat crafts, and act out scenes from Stellaluna.
• Hummingbirds: Explore the colorful, speedy world of hummingbirds with creative painting activities and science experiments. Campers will learn how hummingbirds feed and even blow bubbles to see how their feathers shimmer in the sunlight!
• Owls: Dive into the mysterious world of owls with storytelling, directed drawings, and owl-inspired art. Campers will act out the owl life cycle and play games to learn how owls see in the dark.
• Orcas: Wrap up the week by learning about the majestic orcas of the Pacific Ocean! Campers will craft their own orca art, play an exciting tag game called Orca, and explore what orcas eat and how they live in pods.
