Space Explorers + Half-Day Activities

Get ready to explore the cosmos with Space Explorers! This half-day camp invites young scientists on a mission through the solar system, filled with hands-on experiments, space-themed games, and creative projects that ignite a passion for astronomy.

What to Expect:

• Rocket Engineering: Design and launch paper rockets, experiment with propulsion, and explore how rockets make it to space.
• Moon Missions: Create textured moon craters using flour and marbles, simulate moonwalking, and build a mini lunar lander.
• Galaxy Art: Craft swirling galaxy paintings, explore nebulae through watercolors, and create “glow-in-the-dark” space art.
• Alien Life: Imagine what alien life might look like on distant planets! Create your own alien species and habitats through art and storytelling.
• Black Hole Science: Learn about gravity and black holes through fun, hands-on activities like “spinning space-time” with fabric and marbles.

The other half of each day will include outdoor activities, including sports and physical games, nature-based exploration, water play, and creative free-play activities. While some activities may connect to space themes, the focus will be on keeping kids active, social, and engaged in a variety of fun outdoor experiences.
