In this hands-on camp, Photography introduces young shutterbugs to the basics of digital photography, from mastering composition and lighting to exploring creative editing techniques. Whether you’re snapping portraits, capturing nature, or designing your own I Spy book, this camp is all about seeing the world in new ways—and capturing it one photo at a time!

Each day blends photography techniques with fun, creative projects:

• Day 1 (Photography Basics & Scavenger Hunt): Learn the fundamentals of photography, explore subject separation techniques, and go on a photo scavenger hunt to capture textures, colors, and patterns.
• Day 2 (Still Life & Perspective): Experiment with still life photography and practice different perspectives, angles, and lighting techniques to enhance your photos.
• Day 3 (Portraits & Editing): Dive into portrait photography, explore natural lighting, and learn how to edit photos like a pro using PicMonkey or Snapseed.
• Day 4 (Nature Photography): Take your camera outdoors to capture nature’s beauty with a photo scavenger hunt, then create nature-inspired photo art.
• Day 5 (Photography & Poetry): Pair your favorite photos with original couplets (two-line poems), and compile your work into a personalized photo book to share with family and friends.

Campers will:

• Learn key photography concepts like composition, focus, lighting, and perspective.
• Use digital tools to edit, enhance, and organize their photos.
• Create personal photo projects, including I Spy books, portrait collages, and nature photo journals.
• Gain confidence in visual storytelling while having fun with friends.
