Our focus at our arts camps is on fostering creativity. Creativity is a skill in life and one that must be fostered. Through our programs kids get a chance to try lots of different art styles and art mediums. It is a safe place to experiment and try things. All of the days are different with kids making 4-5 pieces of art while also spending time outside. There are many group activities but also opportunities to reflect and spend time working on individual projects. We try to be flexible with learning styles and teach to the skill level of where your child is at for that particular art style or medium. Age in some cases is irrelevant as our teachers are skilled at helping kids where they are at. All supplies are included we just ask that the kids come dressed to get messy and have fun!
Character Development: This program helps build the following traits
Creativity: Our whole program is focused on fostering creativity and helping kids understand how to invent ideas and ways of working. Seeing so many different ways of painting and creating art is helpful in helping children realize the opportunities for creativity are endless
Courage: Making art is vulnerable. Teaching kids to have the courage to try new things, fail fast and learn from these failures is all part of any art journey. This is a safe space to have courage and demonstrate it.
