(5) Overall experience

I can’t say enough good things about Overtime Athletics and the incredible experience my son has at OTA! We’re so grateful for the positive impact it’s had on him! First and foremost, Coach Cherysse and her team of coaches are absolutely phenomenal. It’s clear that they are not only incredibly skilled in their respective sports but also deeply passionate about working with kids. Coach Cherysse has an amazing ability to connect with the kids, making them feel valued, safe, and motivated to do their best. She's always encouraging, and creates a fun, energetic atmosphere where my son can thrive. The coaches are not just focused on athletic skills, but also on building character, teamwork, and sportsmanship. My son came home every day excited to tell me about the games they played and the friends he made. Another standout feature of Overtime Athletics camp was the variety of activities. It wasn’t just about traditional sports — there was a perfect balance of competition, physical activity, and team-building exercises that kept my son engaged and eager to come back! There were always fun activities such as a Bouncy Castle or Water play! He also had a blast participating in fun games and challenges that kept him energized and excited throughout the camp. As a parent, it’s incredibly reassuring to see how much my son grew in just a short time. Not only did he improve his athletic skills, but he also gained more confidence and developed meaningful friendships that lasted into the school year! I highly recommend Overtime Athletics and Coach Cherysse to any parent looking for a high-quality, enriching sports camp experience for their kids. My son looks forward to every PA Day as he knows he's going to OTA Camp! We are already looking forward to March Break Camp! Thank you again, Coach Cherysse and team!

(5) Reason for choosing the camp

From the very first day, it was clear that Coach Cherysse and her team of coaches were the heart and soul of this amazing program. We were immediately impressed by how welcoming, professional, and passionate they were about creating a positive and supportive environment for every child. Coach Cherysse has such a natural ability to connect with the kids — she’s not just a coach, she’s a mentor. She took the time to learn about each child’s personality and skill level and made sure everyone felt included, respected, and encouraged. What truly stands out about OTA camp is the perfect balance of fun and discipline. While the kids were having a blast participating in a variety of sports and activities, they were also learning key life skills — teamwork, communication, resilience, and how to handle both wins and losses with grace. Coach Cherysse and her team are masters at creating an atmosphere where kids can be their best selves, learn new skills, and, most importantly, have fun.

(5) Program quality and activities

Our son had an absolutely unforgettable experience at Overtime Athletics (OTA) summer camp, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how much fun he had! One of the things that stood out the most was the variety of activities that kept him engaged and excited every single day — and the highlights were definitely the water play, the bouncy castle, and the weekly themed days. Our son absolutely loved the water play! Whether it was water balloon tosses, sprinklers, or a mini water obstacle course, he had the time of his life splashing around with his friends. Another huge hit was the bouncy castle. Nathan couldn’t wait to jump into it every day. It was such a great addition to the camp’s activities, providing a fun, high-energy way for the kids to burn off some energy while having a blast. But what truly made the experience even more exciting were the weekly themed days. OTA camp did an incredible job of mixing things up with different themes every week — from Superhero Day, Sports Olympics, and more! It was such a creative way to keep things fresh and keep the kids’ enthusiasm levels high.

(5) Social dynamics and experience

What truly stood out to us is the friendships my son developed at OTA with other students and how they have lasted well beyond the summer. He’s kept in touch with his camp friends throughout the school year, organizing playdates, birthday parties, and even group sports activities. It’s been heartwarming to see how these relationships have continued to grow. In fact, many of the friendships he's made at OTA camp have become some of his closest throughout the school year. This sense of lasting friendship is a testament to the camp’s atmosphere. Coach Cherysse and her team did an incredible job of fostering connections and making sure that every child had the opportunity to make friends while also developing their athletic skills.

(5) Skills and growth

We couldn’t be more pleased with the growth and development our son experienced at Overtime Athletics (OTA) camp this summer. Not only did he have an absolute blast, but he also developed a range of valuable skills that have helped him both athletically and personally. Coach Cherysse and her team created an environment where he could thrive, learn, and grow in so many important areas. Perhaps the most important skill Nathan developed was increased confidence. Whether he was tackling a new sport or making new friends, he felt supported and encouraged every step of the way. The positive reinforcement from Coach Cherysse and her team helped him step outside of his comfort zone and try new things, ultimately leading to a huge boost in his self-esteem. He came home each day with a big smile, proud of what he had accomplished, and that confidence has carried over into his school life and social interactions.

(5) Staff/Instructors/Counsellors

Before, during, and after the session, the staff at Overtime Athletics was incredibly communicative and proactive. The week or weekend prior to the camp week, we received detailed information about the schedule, camp week theme, what to expect, and how to prepare for the week. During the camp, Coach Cherysse and the team were always available to address any questions or concerns, and they regularly provided updates on how our son was doing. We appreciated their transparency and the way they kept us in the loop. Coach Cherysse was highly responsive — if we ever had a question or needed to reach out, she responded quickly and thoughtfully. It was evident that she truly cares about both the children and the parents, making sure everyone’s needs were met throughout the camp experience.

(5) Advice and tips

If you're considering Overtime Athletics Camp for your child, I would highly recommend it! My advice would be to take full advantage of the diverse activities and the opportunity for your child to grow, both athletically and personally. The coaches create a positive and inclusive environment that really helps kids build confidence, learn new skills, and form lasting friendships. Be prepared for your child to come home each day excited, energized, and eager to return the next day — the camp is fun, engaging, and well-organized. Also, make sure to take note of the weekly themes and special activities like water play and the bouncy castle — they’re huge hits with the kids!
