Are you looking for an exciting March Break adventure?
Make the most of the snowy season with a classic experience in Algonquin Park’s winter wonderland. Our popular and iconic winter snowshoeing expedition, complete with quiet snow trails and warm prospector tents, will leave you with magical memories you won’t soon forget!
AREA & ACTIVITIES
Join us as we explore Algonquin Park’s Historic Rail Trail which is situated within the traditional territory of the Omàmìwininìwag and Anishinabewaki Peoples. During the day you will travel by snowshoe while pulling your gear using pulks (sleds). Your nights will be spent sleeping in a traditional canvas walled tent heated by a wood stove or in winter shelters under the stars. Winter camping is not for the faint of heart – it takes a solid individual and a team effort to create a successful journey.
Your adventure begins when you meet your group near Minden, Ontario where you will be introduced to your instructors and get geared up for your course. From the start of the trip it will be a hands-on experience while you learn lessons that will aid you during your expedition. These lessons will include navigations skills, proper wood collection, camp craft, hot tent setup and meal preparation while focusing on developing your leadership skills and resiliency. Join us this March Break for an adventure in the winter wonderland of the Ontario wilderness.
