Children explore the art of Collagraph, Monotype, Gel Plate and other printmaking techniques and get to use a professional printing press with skilled MFA, Nima Arabi! Elements of art such as shape, space, texture line and colour will be thoughtfully implemented and principles of balance, harmony, proportion, emphasis and movement will be put into practice with a variety of creative materials. Children are able to layer, draw, and experiment while creating artful compositions that are inspired by their favourite subjects or simply abstract and spontaneous as they begin to understand the medium. This is a very exciting class where children learn to use a variety of materials such as brayers, plexi plates, a press and found items to create art. All materials are included.
