Art Camp Description (4yrs+)

A creative and educational program designed to introduce campers to the world of art, fostering creativity, self-expression, and skill development. Campers will learn art techniques and styles though painting, tactile and mixed media projects while exploring process and product art.

Campers will participate in a half day of art activities and half-day multi-sport and co-op games

Camp Activities

  • Monday- Exploring moods and feelings through abstract painting, and expression through pointillism and painting
  • Tuesday- Famous Artists: explore art styles such as mosaic art, cubism, and abstract landscapes, inspired by artists Laurel True, Pablo Picasso, and Vincent Van Gogh
  • Wednesday- Faces & Bodies: sculpting with plasticine to create faces & figurines & learning basics of sketching and cross hatching
  • Thursday- International Styles: explore the various styles of metis art, mandalas, and carnival masks
  • Friday- Morning: Art show: campers showcase their work to fellow campers 
           - Afternoon: Olympic Day featuring opening ceremony, face painting & theme competitions
