Hear & Now Music & Songwriting Camp: Write, Record & Perform Your Own Songs!
Is your child passionate about music and eager to create their own songs? At Hear & Now Music & Songwriting Camp, campers aged 10–15 will explore the art of songwriting and music production, building the skills they need to write, perform, and record their own original music.
From July 7–18 (Session 1) and July 21–August 1 (Session 2), campers will dive into every aspect of the songwriting process—from coming up with ideas to putting lyrics to music and learning the basics of recording. Each day, they’ll have the chance to work collaboratively, gain confidence in their musical abilities, and showcase their creations in a live performance.
🎶 What Your Child Will Love About This Camp:
🎤 Songwriting and Lyric Writing: Campers will learn how to craft original lyrics, develop melodies, and structure songs. They’ll discover what makes a great song while drawing inspiration from popular artists like Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Olivia Rodrigo.
🎧 Basic Music Production: Campers will explore the basics of recording, mixing, and arranging their music, using easy-to-learn tools. They'll learn to record their voice and instruments, developing their music production skills as they work on their own songs.
🎸 Collaborative Songwriting Sessions: In small groups, campers will brainstorm and write songs together, learning to collaborate creatively and build on each other’s ideas. Teamwork is key as they refine their songs and experiment with different musical ideas.
🎤 Live Performance & Showcase: At the end of camp, campers will have the chance to perform their original songs for family and friends. Whether they’re performing solo or with the group, this showcase will be an exciting culmination of their hard work!
💡 Industry Insights: Throughout the camp, campers will learn how songs get made—from the initial idea to the final product. Special discussions will explore how to share music with the world and how kids can take their musical passion to the next level.
🎨 Creative Breaks: In between music sessions, campers will enjoy fun arts and crafts projects, such as designing their own album covers or making band merchandise. These activities allow them to express themselves in different creative ways.
