HASSE: Igniting Vision and Passion for the Future
What makes a young mind dream of space? Not just the dazzling images of rocket launches or the distant glow of the stars—but the belief that they, too, have a role to play in humanity’s greatest adventure.
For 20 years, HASSE has done more than educate. It has helped students discover their vision and passion, transforming them into thinkers, innovators, and pioneers across diverse fields—STEM, medicine, business, architecture, art, and adventure. HASSE brings together young visionaries from over 20 countries and four continents to Houston—the beating heart of human spaceflight.
HASSE immerses students in engineering, AI, entrepreneurship, and the future of space travel, placing them at the center of real-world challenges and hands-on training. HASSE Space School, the organization’s flagship program, introduces thousands of students to the challenges and possibilities of space exploration. It places them inside mission simulations, trains them in leadership, and connects them with astronauts, engineers, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders who are shaping the world.
The impact is undeniable. HASSE alumni have gone on to NASA, SpaceX, JAXA, Amazon, Tesla, and leading AI companies. Some have launched startups in robotics, space technology, and medicine. Others have become architects designing for future space habitats, artists shaping the visual language of exploration, and business leaders driving innovation. The possibilities are limitless—because at HASSE, space is not just a destination. It’s a mindset.
A Defining Moment: The Global Space Vision & AI Challenge
Now, as HASSE marks its 20th anniversary, it is launching its boldest initiative yet: The Global Space Vision & AI Challenge, taking place on October 3-6, 2025.
The challenge begins with the Space & AI Education Summit on October 3, where university presidents, industry leaders, and government officials will discuss the future of autonomous space exploration, AI-driven mission planning, and robotics for deep space.
From October 3-6, high school and college students will compete in the Space Vision & AI Challenge, applying cutting-edge AI technology to solve real-world space challenges. They will collaborate with leading space and AI companies, gaining direct experience in autonomous lunar rovers, AI-powered mission control, and robotics designed for interplanetary exploration.
But this challenge is about more than just technology—it’s about unlocking human potential. Whether a student’s passion lies in science, business, art, architecture, medicine, or exploration, HASSE provides a platform where they can connect, innovate, and shape the future.
HASSE: A Global Legacy of Leaders
Since 2004, HASSE has built a global network of students, educators, and innovators who believe in the power of space to unite humanity. Its programs have expanded across middle schools, high schools, and universities, offering mentorship, immersive learning, and hands-on experiences that prepare students for a future beyond boundaries.
With alumni across three continents and over 20 countries, HASSE continues to shape the future—one inspired mind at a time.
Because HASSE believes in one simple truth: the future belongs to those who dare to imagine it.
And through HASSE, thousands of young minds are not just imagining the future.
They’re building it.
At HASSE Space School, we prioritize a safe and enriching learning environment for every student. Our dedicated staff undergo rigorous training before each expedition, ensuring they are equipped to guide your child on this exciting journey of discovery. Our diverse team, comprised of individuals from around the globe, brings a wealth of experience and perspectives to the program. For every 20-25 students, we assign a Group Manager (GM) and a Group Assistant (GA), a passionate Hasse alumnus. Both undergo the same comprehensive training program, ensuring the highest quality of instruction and support for your child's unique learning experience.
11122 Bellaire Blvd,, Houston, Texas, United States
Are meals provided? Yes. All meals will be provided for the duration of the expedition
Is HASSE Space School x World Space AI Challenge technology free? For junior groups, students are required to hand over their phones/tablets during the day and during the sleeping hours to ensure they can focus on the activities of the day as well as allow them to get good rest at night. Phones will be given out each day after the activities have finished and be recollected at "lights out" time before bed. For senior groups, they will need their phones/tablets for projects thoughout the day, and we trust that they will be responsible enough to manage their own sleeping patterns at night. So, there will be no collection of phone/tables from the seniors unless some kind of inappropriate use of them needs to be addressed.
