Grouse Mountain offers kids from Vancouver and area firsthand adventure in nature. It’s outdoor immersion in a day camp where kids learn basic survival skills and study bears and owls up close, but there’s also lighter camp fare like Jeopardy and art activities. Staff absolutely love nature and the outdoors, many of them skilled at climbing and skiing; they pass this on to campers. The real star of the show is Grouse Moutain itself, overlooking Vancouver westward and Mt. Baker to the south. Kids experience the mountain wilderness on their own terms, coming away from the camp experience with memories and reflections they’ll carry long into the future.
Our staff are passionate about the outdoors. We hire staff who demonstrate their passion for both nature and enjoying different activities such as climbing, skiing, or hiking. The personal experience and skills of our staff allows them to engage campers in a variety of activities and encourage their passions. The programs are managed by the same team that manage the educational field trips.
