Jurassic Journeys: A Week of Prehistoric Adventures!

At GlenOak Academy Summer Camp, we provide a traditional summer camp experience that’s fun, engaging, and full of hands-on learning! Each week, our camp is built around a unique theme, giving campers the opportunity to dive into exciting activities that spark their curiosity and creativity.

What makes our camp special? 

GlenOak Academy Summer Camp combines fun learning opportunities with interactive and age-appropriate activities that inspire growth and exploration. Campers experience a balance of academics (led by certified teachers), arts, and recreational physical activity while making memories and friendships that last a lifetime. Our camp is designed to foster learning in a holistic and exciting way. 

What will your child experience? 

This week, it’s all about dinosaurs! Campers will embark on a thrilling journey back in time to explore the prehistoric world. Through engaging lessons, hands-on art projects, and exciting games inspired by the Dinosaur of the Day, campers will discover fascinating facts about these incredible creatures. Highlights include creating dinosaur puppets, building terrariums, and tackling fun STEM challenges, all while developing key Math, Science, and Language skills.

A typical day at camp: 

Each morning begins with a large-group gathering featuring energizing games or challenges. Campers then break into smaller, age-based groups for focused activities where they’ll explore themed Math, Science, and Art in engaging ways. Throughout the day, they’ll enjoy creative projects, outdoor adventures, and teamwork-based challenges like solving escape rooms to save the dinosaurs!

Friday Fun: 

Fridays are always a highlight! Campers can dress up as their favourite dinosaur and showcase their newfound knowledge in an exciting escape room challenge to save the dinosaurs from extinction. They'll also enjoy a provided pizza lunch.
