Campers’ days will be split between the cooking in the kitchen and fun and fresh air with camp counsellors. Each week will include a trip to the pool and an outing with a food theme!
Please note that pick up and drop off for culinary camps will be at the University of Ottawa’s Nutrition Centre located at 200 Lees Ave. Camp staff will be on site to greet you alongside posted signage.
ampers will learn food safety, basic knife handling, ingredient measuring, and recipe reading while preparing doughs and sauces from scratch! Everyone helps with cleanup and campers learn about healthy eating and how to utilize leftovers.
Campers will prepare family friendly dinners, healthy lunches, and simple snacks. Food safety, knife handling, and healthy eating lessons go deeper, while recipes are slightly more challenging. Dinner may never be the same for your family again!
If you love to cook with good company and want to explore the culinary arts with our award-winning chefs and registered dietitians, join us for a week of fun and discovery that will help you understand the science behind food and nutrition, as well as have fun while cooking tasty, healthy food.
