(5) Overall experience

My daughter finds the classes challenging but she feels really proud of finishing the workout every time. I think she is more confident because she sees the results, she sees how your body has changed to be more slim and fit. Also, because it is a co-ed program she can exercise with the boys of her age and be at their level in terms of physical capabilities. It adds more self-esteem and confidence and I am sure it will help her in the future to build healthy relationships.

(5) Reason for choosing the program

My daughter is into competitive badminton. Alongside with the specific badminton training she needs the general fitness to improve her endurance and speed on a court. FCCF is the only program in London On that offers fitness training for the youth. The program structure and the cost were clearly explained.

(4) Program quality and activities

My daughter loves sport but like many kids, she was not persistent. FCCF encourages youth to pursue their goals. My daughter is becoming more fit, stronger, and faster to compete in badminton. That is her major sport. One session of personal training sets the tone for the whole program. All the exercises are clearly demonstrated and gradually taught.

(5) Social dynamics and experience

Although my daughter has not made new friends yet, her social skills have improved. She used to be very shy. Now I see how openly she communicates her feelings and thoughts with the coaches. I can't imagine any bullying in this gym. Any praise or high-five a kid has to deserve by working hard. there is just no time or space for conflicts.

(5) Skills and growth

The main skills my daughter has been developing are responsibility and pushing herself out of her comfort zone. A coach explains the workout and corrects the techniques to avoid injuries. However, it is up to kids to take responsibility and push themselves to complete the given number of sets and rounds. In these classes, the phrase "good job" isn't for granted.

(5) Staff/Instructors/Counsellors

From the very first call, the owner Jamie explained to me the goals and the programs in detail. He took his time to show me why the first session with the personal trainer was so important to keep my child injury-free during the workouts. The coaches are loved by all the kids

(5) Advice and tips

The FCCF gym is not like an ordinary recreational sports class where kids just spend time with some physical activity. A child should be prepared to push him or herself and be prepared to be tired after the hard workout. And at the same time, it is a perfect opportunity to raise a child's self-esteem by telling him / her how you as a parent are impressed and proud.
