At KMCents, kids gain financial knowledge and skills through fun games, activities and role playing; In addition to your child receiving a KMCents certificate upon completion of this program, special memos are sent to you, the Chief Financial Parent, with tips on how to enhance the money lessons at home.
Common Cents (Weeks 2&3)
Pay My-Future-self First is the Common Cents’ key lesson. Through fun games and activities, your child learns the importance of short-term and long-term savings and giving back to the community. Walter's FUNtastic Bank™ continues to encourage your child to form good saving habits. Fun pretend shopping experiences (for needs and wants) introduce budgeting and help your kids practice money math including rounding to the nearest nickel.
About Knowledge Makes Cents
Knowledge Makes Cents (“KMCents”) was founded with the mission to raise generations after generations of money-savvy children. They believe children need to learn the value of a dollar, where it comes from, and how to successfully manage their personal finances as adults. KMCents fun programs have been successfully run at various summer camps since 2015.
