(5) Overall experience

My daughter has been part of an EVP rep team for two years. She participates in clinics, practices, and tournaments. Her experience has always been positive, thanks to the coaching staff and her teammates. Through her time with this club, she has grown to love the sport even more; this is to the point that she has taken an interest in coaching girls volleyball herself. EVP cultivates an environment for kids to develop, grow, make new friendships, and overall learn how to work in a team environment. My daughter now assists coaches in the house and academy leagues and loves it so much that she feels this will be a lifelong journey!

(5) Reason for choosing the camp

The location of clinics/camps/practices, along with positive word of mouth, were all appealing. Also, the coaches at her initial clinics were super nice and communicative, offering feedback to her. The cost was on par with other Volleyball clinics offered at other clubs, and there were no hidden costs involved.

(5) Program quality and activities

My daughter was looking for additional volleyball training as she was already a rep player. She liked the coaches at the EVP clinics, which made her want to do more. She was able to develop and learn new skills through the clinics they offered, participating in setting, attacking, and defense development. If your child is interested in trying out for their school team in the fall, these clinics are a great way to get ready.

(5) Social dynamics and experience

My daughter's coach was always on top of any potential issues amongst the players and kept the girls accountable in the event of unacceptable behaviour. She has made lasting friendships through her time at EVP, and now, in her last year, she and her teammates are discussing forming a team to play beyond high school in an adult league starting this summer!

(5) Skills and growth

My daughter has developed her player skills; she has learned to play multiple positions on her teams and has grown as a leader. She has learned to be a good teammate through her coach as well as her peers, to listen, contribute, and be supportive. Accepting you are part of the bigger picture and that each teammate contributes to successes and failures.

(5) Staff/Instructors/Counsellors

My daughter has been exposed to many facets of the EVP club, one of which is the coaching staff. She has been coached and has been a coach. Because of this, I would say she has worked in one way or another with many of the staff at EVP and has always had great experiences.

(5) Advice and tips

I would highly recommend this club's camps/teams. EVP is an organized and well-coached. The club organizes their house and academy leagues in such a way that your child will be exposed to volleyball skills/development as well as game play. Their summer camps are also a wonderful way to expose your child to this sport and allow them to learn something new while making new friends! It could lead to being part of a school or rep team and give them a lifelong sport to enjoy.
