The Drayton Entertainment Youth Academy Summer Camps gives kids, youth, and teens a chance to have fun, meet new friends, and build life-skills while learning about blockbuster musical theatre shows!

By studying material from age-appropriate musicals, performing arts participants gain fundamental training in singing, movement, improv, and scene work. They’ll become familiar with reading sheet music, creating character and learn how to enhance their sense of focus and stage presence. Other speciality workshops will include on-camera acting technique, stage combat, puppetry, and audition skills plus virtual mentor Q&A’s.

Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

Creativity: Theatre helps children foster their creative inner talents, while building their skills in various areas including; singing, movement, art, production and set design. This leads to their ability to be creative in their communication skills in everything they do.
Interpersonal skills: Theatre offers children the ability to develop their understanding of various types of characters and people as well as the emotions and behaviours they portray on stage. It teaches them to compromise, listen and build their communication & leadership skills.
