The U18 Boys rugby program builds on the skills developed in the earlier age-grades. Plus we welcome players new to rugby who will find that, within a few weeks, they are able to fully participate in the training program, scrimmages, games and tournaments.

At the Under 18’s, our group of experienced coaches build on the goals from all the preceding age group.

In addition to the structured training / practice sessions, the Under 18’s teams will compete in the Toronto Rugby Union and Niagara Rugby Union U18 divisions. Games are full contact, played for 60 minutes, mostly scheduled for Wednesday-evenings or Saturday-mornings.

In addition to the League games, Crusaders also play games against several touring teams, as well as a number of play-off tournaments.


Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

  • Interpersonal skills: Rugby is a sport of camaraderie; at Crusaders we make it a club value to encourage interpersonal skills and development for all our programs and players. Participants will learn how to work and bond with a team, forming a strong sense of community.
  • Physicality: In all of our programs, we encourage a love for the sport, which translates into a love for movement and physical wellness. Our programs include fitness, as well as a focus on athletic improvement.
